Rules is played by 650,000 Aussie kids and adults alike, with almost
3,000 registered clubs. There are also leagues in over 20 countries,
as far afield as Japan, England, the USA, Canada, Vietnam and of
course here in Scandinavia.
Footy
is a hugely popular spectator sport in Australia. In 2007 almost 7
million people attended Australian Football League (AFL) Premiership
matches. The AFL Grand Final is broadcast to over 70 countries,
attracting approximately 30 million viewers worldwide.
